Jazzie Johnson is a dedicated professional and an essential member of our team. With a background in tutoring, interviewing, and social media management, Jazzie brings a unique blend of skills and experiences to the table.
Jazzie currently serves as the Clinic Coordinator at The Coping Resource Center, playing a pivotal role in the practice’s success. She is responsible for scheduling and ensuring client satisfaction for all of our clinicians. In her role, she ensures that clients receive the care they need in a timely manner. Jazzie’s meticulous attention to detail and her ability to manage complex scheduling demands contribute to the seamless operation of the practice.
In addition to her role as Clinic Coordinator, Jazzie has a track record of success in various educational and supportive positions. Her experience as a tutor and interviewer at iEducate USA showcases her proficiency in evaluating candidates and assisting students in their educational journeys. Her commitment to her work has been recognized through accolades such as being featured on the company website and being designated as a model employee. She has also shown proficiency in her role as Business Team Support for another organization where she utilizes social media to spread awareness for mental health and the organization.
Jazzie’s educational background includes an attempt to pursue a Master’s of Education in Counseling. She currently holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Houston and an Associate in Arts (AA) in Psychology from Houston Community College.
Jazzie Johnson’s passion for education and pursuit of her own counseling career, her ability to work collaboratively within teams, and her dedication to ensuring client satisfaction make her an invaluable asset to The Coping Resource Center. Her diverse experiences and commitment to professional growth and development continue to enhance the practice’s mission of providing high-quality mental health services to the community.
Lacy Butler
Lacy Butler is a dedicated member of our team, serving as Content Coordinator and contributing significantly to the practice’s growth, visibility, and outreach efforts. With a strong academic foundation in psychology and a deep commitment to mental health advocacy, Lacy brings creativity, strategic insight, and compassion to her work.
In her role, Lacy develops psychoeducational materials, including blogs, client handouts, and community resources that make evidence-based information accessible to the community. She manages the practice’s social media strategy and website content, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and strong user experience. She also supports therapist visibility through digital campaigns, profile optimization, and cohesive marketing materials. Through her work, Lacy helps foster connection and trust with clients even before their first session.
Beyond her role at Coping Resource Center, Lacy serves as Media Manager for the Houston Psychological Association, where she oversees social media initiatives promoting mental health awareness, diversity, equity, and inclusion. She has completed training with Crisis Text Line, strengthening her skills in crisis response and trauma-informed communication. Her professional and volunteer work reflects a commitment to social justice and expanding access to mental health resources for underserved communities.
Lacy earned her Associate of Arts from the Honors College at Lone Star College–Kingwood, graduating summa cum laude with honors in research. She went on to complete her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Criminology, Law, and Society from the University of St. Thomas, graduating magna cum laude. She was awarded the highly competitive Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship—one of the nation’s most prestigious awards for high-achieving community college students—and received renewal funding for graduate study.
She is currently in her first year of the Master of Social Work program at the University of Houston’s Graduate College of Social Work on the clinical track. Lacy intends to pursue clinical social work licensure to serve as a therapist helping individuals navigate grief and life transitions. As she advances in her clinical training, she remains committed to fostering connection, advocating for equity in mental health care, and contributing to a practice grounded in both excellence and empathy.
