I provide therapy for adults with PTSD, anxiety, and depression. I have over 15 years of experience treating trauma, including working with survivors of combat, accidents, crime, sexual assault, and childhood abuse. Experiencing a trauma can upend your life and change how you think about yourself, other people, and the world.Â
I work with clients to identify how trauma has impacted them and help them identify ways to heal. Although we can’t go back in time and stop the trauma from happening to you, we can work together to find healthier ways to move forward. My goal is to provide a supportive, safe place to work on trauma at your own pace.
I also treat anxiety, including social anxiety, generalized anxiety, panic disorder, and OCD, as well as depression and related issues like trouble sleeping. I use evidence-based therapy approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapies. For me, the purpose of therapy is to give you tools to use in your everyday life, so that you can cope with life’s challenges as they arise.
It’s very important to me that clients feel supported and are partners in making decisions about their treatment. This includes helping you choose which evidence-based treatment approach makes sense for you, tailoring treatment to your goals and values, and determining when you are ready to graduate from treatment. I want to make sure you are getting what you want from therapy.
When you start therapy, we will meet weekly. As you progress, we will gradually extend the intervals between sessions. If you are considering starting therapy, I am happy to offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if we are a good fit. I’d love to help you or someone you love get the support you need to live better.
