I’m a Houston-based therapist providing therapy for teens and adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves. Many of my clients are navigating major life transitions — starting college, entering adulthood, coping with academic or social pressure, working through difficult relationships, or healing from a challenging life experience.

Often, clients come to therapy feeling anxious, trapped in unhelpful thought cycles, or unsure how to change long-standing patterns. They may recognize that their thoughts are getting in the way, but feel uncertain about how to shift them. Sometimes this stress shows up in behaviors, emotional reactions, or coping patterns they want to better understand and change.

Self-Esteem & Anxiety Work

I especially enjoy working with clients who struggle with anxiety, low self-esteem, and self-doubt. Many of these clients feel stuck in cycles of overthinking, self-criticism, or people-pleasing, and want support building confidence and emotional resilience.

In this work, I help clients:
• Reduce anxiety and emotional reactivity
• Strengthen self-esteem and self-trust
• Develop healthier coping skills
• Build confidence in decision-making
• Understand how past experiences shape current patterns

I love watching clients have those “ah-ha” moments when they realize they can challenge old narratives and step into a more grounded, confident version of themselves.

Couples & Family Work

In addition to individual therapy, I enjoy working with couples and family systems, including couples and mother-daughter relationships. My approach blends CBT- and DBT-informed strategies with an attachment-based lens to help clients understand how relational patterns develop and how they can be changed.

My work with couples and families focuses on:
• Identifying attachment styles
• Recognizing and interrupting negative interaction cycles
• Improving communication skills
• Strengthening emotional regulation and stress tolerance
• Developing effective conflict management strategies

By helping clients slow down reactivity and respond more intentionally, I support couples and families in building stronger, more supportive connections. As my interest in this area continues to grow, I may pursue additional specialized training to further deepen my expertise in couples therapy.

Therapeutic Approach

My approach to therapy is structured, practical, and focused on helping clients make meaningful changes in the way they think so they can also change how they feel, act, and move forward. I use evidence-based methods to help clients gain clarity, build confidence, and create lasting growth.

I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful thought patterns, challenge them, and replace them with healthier perspectives and coping strategies. My sessions are hands-on and often include worksheets, exercises, and guided reflections so clients leave with tools they can use in daily life.

I also integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, along with Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and Somatic CBT, to support emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and mind-body awareness — especially for clients struggling with anxiety, self-criticism, and emotional overwhelm.

I bring a warm, collaborative, and supportive presence to therapy. I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes at a pace that feels manageable and sustainable.

Experience & Background

My current work is shaped by years of diverse clinical experience. I have counseled children and families, supported older adults in public housing, and provided trauma-informed care to survivors of human trafficking.

As a clinical case manager at SEARCH Homeless Services in Houston, I worked with clients experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, and substance use concerns. In this role, I developed skills in crisis intervention, de-escalation, care coordination, and working collaboratively within multidisciplinary systems. Across these settings, I learned the importance of meeting people where they are and offering practical, compassionate tools that lead to real change.

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but I’m here to make the process less overwhelming. In our first sessions, I focus on building trust, learning about your goals and values, and identifying what’s standing in your way. From there, we’ll develop skills and strategies to help you navigate life with clarity, confidence, and a stronger connection to who you truly are.

Outside of my work, I am happily married and living in Houston. I love people and care deeply about building community- I spend most of my time with my friends and family. I find joy in my hobbies, and love to quilt, knit, paint, and read! Every day I like to do something active, and often go to yoga or on long walks. I prioritize being intentional and engaged in my commitments, my relationships, and my community.
